Dia De Los Muertos & Happy Blog Birthday!

                                                                 HELLO!!
I want to back to posting at least twice a month here, On Nov 2th was Dia De Los Muertos & I wanted to show My readers my family does it, Why we do it,  Update how I have been feeling also!

On Nov 2th was Dia De Los Muertos & I kinda wanted to take you along for the ride with me & my family, while we went to go see My Great-Grandma at her grave. my Dad got off work early & took us to the Cemetery before it got really packed, Always GO EARLY! since we Live in Texas, a lot of Latinos Like us go see family, some spend all day there. I had already made my Pumpkin at home & Painted it But I wanted to get some flowers & Something  that said Grandma, And around There people sell flowers & pumpkins all for this day, I brought a purple wreath That also has a sign that says "Grandma"

My purple wreath,(she loved Purple)

together!

My Pumpkin With Cross all over it!

ME!

See how people do all types of stuff for Dia De Los Muertos.

I may try making something like this next year but My pumpkin will be white.

A lot of people put of Flowers & baskets filled with flowers.

The skulls were commonly kept as trophies and displayed during the rituals to symbolize death and rebirth.
We also have Nov 1th is to honor Children & babies, mostly It's Called "Day of the Innocents" & It's also called "Day of the Little Angels" In Mexico, you take toys & stuff the child loved & Nov 2th is to honor adults & you take flowers make sure to see visit the grave, sometimes you take stuff they liked & food, sodas, drinks, We just take flowers & see her & talk about her.
A lot of people think, Latinos have Dia De Los Muertos, because it's Our Halloween, It's Not. It means more then that, It's a time to remember our Lost ones & get together as family, for us It will always be about family!

Who's the true Olympian?? & MORE!

Hello,EVERYONE!
I hope You are all Having a Good Week! It's FRIDAY!! :)
WHOO HOO!!!
Make sure, you head off to My Other Blog & read my Olympics Post! are you ready for them? "Olympic Wear!" to Fashion Love by Pam

I was on USA today's Websites Then I started reading this Story about Shannon Boxx Who plays for United States women's national soccer team! and will be playing in London!
but the big deal, why I'm tell Sharing this with you, is That Shannon was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome in 2002. Sjogren's syndrome, you may recall, is the same condition that tennis great Venus Williams was diagnosed with in August of last year. When Boxx was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome, she was informed that she had an increased risk of developing other autoimmune conditions too. And she did. In 2007, Boxx was diagnosed with lupus. So far, her lupus is reportedly mild and she has managed the condition with medication and by making some adjustments to her schedule. Even so, in the past 5 years, Boxx has started almost every game for the national team. As you watch Olympic coverage, remember her name, Shannon Boxx. Go Shannon! Bring home the gold for Team USA!
This is the story in USA Today
She's a true Olympian, In my book.
it just proves that Olympians are real people. I feel so sad for her also, Because I know her pain even thought she has all in her life, she's still playing, I will keep her in my prayers!
